| PCM swapping is the traditional way of receiving custom programming, but it presents many risks, as well: bent or broken pins on the PCM connector, PCM damage in shipping, “crank relearn” problems, and static damage. Sometimes the PCM is very difficult to get to. In other cases, customers wishing to keep their cars totally original, with the original PCM find they must deal with downtime while they ship their PCM off. | ||

| What Happens if you DO have a Problem? | ||
| Usually custom programming goes smoothly. But what if you run into a problem after you’ve installed your new PCM? Maybe your CHECK ENGINE light is on? Trifecta Performance’s GT Tuner also includes a code scanner feature to help track down issues that may arise. And, Trifecta Performance can email you a modified custom program if, for some reason, the program needs to be modified. If you’re doing a PCM swap, you’re shipping the PCM back to the custom programmer if you need a programming change. | ||

| Remote tuning, not mail order tuning | ||
| Mail order tuning is where you get a tune from somebody via mail. While we use the mail to send our equipment to you, what we do is so much more than just mail order tuning. Our products allow you to drive the vehicle and collect information about it while you drive. These "data logs" can be sent to us for analysis, and we can determine how well the tune is running on your particular vehicle, in your particular location. This essentially allows us to tune your vehicle as if we were standing right there! | ||
